Doesn't this say it all?

Welcome back! And thank you to all veterans.

Here is an announcement of the Supreme Court justice nominee to be announced this morning. http://wcco.com/politics/obama.supreme.court.2.1019138.html

In typical "media" fashion - the announcement contains the news that:
1. She's female.
2. She's Hispanic.
3. She's experienced.

So, nothing about her current job. Nothing about big cases she's decided. Just more "history" as the "first Hispanic to sit on the court."

At this point, I am not lauding nor criticizing the choice. But the media's reporting of it speaks to what is really important - nothing more.
